Noah Brings Up The House Drama, During Week 7 of “The Bachelorette”

Courtesy: ABC

It’s a new day at La Quinta Resort, which means new drama, competition, and a whole lot of tension.

If you missed last week’s episode, feel free to catch up with a recap through our previous article.

This week started off with a new group date, featuring: Bennett, Ivan, Blake, Riley, Demar, Zac, and Kenny.

Their first task, according to Chris Harrison, was to take the time to write a love song for Tayshia. This involved writing lyrics, with the option to accompany their performance with an instrument of their choice.

Zac kicked things off with a very interesting performance. Honestly, A+ for effort, and at least he rhymed the lyrics!

Kenny admitted to being nervous, but he gave it his all and tried his best for Tayshia.

Blake’s performance was playful, witty, and absolutely amusing. Tayshia looked like she was having a great time, listening to the men.

Then, there was Bennett… Ah, Bennett. A true Harvard man, who got a little too confident in himself. Although he seemed amused in front of the camera, behind the scenes, he was acting extremely full of himself. He was blunt and straight to the point — admitting that “Riley didn’t really step up, because he was being ‘classic Riley’”. He also said that “I’m not worried about Blake. He stands zero chance.”

Ivan’s performance was so wholesome and sweet. He didn’t use an instrument, but he wrote a beautiful verse, pouring his heart out to Tayshia. He rapped about the storyline of “The Bachelorette” — mentioning Clare and her departure, his excitement when he first met Tayshia, and how he can really picture her as his future wife.

Demar said some supportive words, behind the scenes, about Ivan, and we love to see it! Speaking of Demar, he came through with his song. He tried his best to sing, but his lyrics + the guitar were actually really genuine and the tune was catchy. He even titled the song, “Mocha Latte”. We stan an original king.

After everyone’s performance, Tayshia chose the winner: Ivan. As the winner of the song-writing competition, Ivan won a one-on-one date with Tayshia.

He arrived at her cottage, and the two had such a fun, magical night together. They ordered room service, played ‘the floor is lava’, whacked each other with fluffy pillows, and indulged in the biggest ice cream sundae that I’ve ever seen.

While this date was going on, we hopped back into the common room area, to catch up with the other contestants. Another group date was announced, involving: Demar, Kenny, Zac, Bennett, Riley, and Blake. Noah expressed his disappointment, with not being chosen for the group date.

This stirred up a verbal altercation between Bennett and Noah, until Noah accepted defeat.

Back with Tayshia and Ivan, they began to talk about family values and morals. Tayshia mentioned that she was raised to always practice and believe in her faith, while Ivan spoke about his brother. Ivan was never interested in doing drugs or alcohol — a main reason being to serve as a positive role model for his little brother.

However, he then revealed that while he was in college, his little brother involved himself in negative practices, and it caused him to live 4 years of his life behind bars.

Ivan started to get emotional, when he admitted that during the first two years of his niece’s life, she had to see her father in a prison building, through a glass pane.

The conversation topic then switched to that of the Black Lives Matter movement. Tayshia began to get emotional, while talking about her feelings towards everything. She also opened up about feeling like she was the ‘odd one out’, as she grew up in a primarily Caucasian area of California.

Ivan was given the one-on-one date rose.

The next day was the second group date. Tayshia, Becca Kufrin and Sydney Lotuaco hosted the event. The date consisted of Truth or Dare: Tayshia style.

Since there were six men on the group date, the hosts divided the men up into 3 teams:

  1. Riley and Zac
  2. Demar and Bennett
  3. Kenny and Blake

Riley had to chug a disgusting, scorpion-filled smoothie. He must really care deeply about Tayshia, because even though he almost vomited, he completed the dare. Zac chugged the smoothie and completed the dare as well.

Next up was Demar and Bennett. Their dare was quite unique and incredibly hilarious. They interrupted Chris Harrison’s lobster/champagne themed lunch, to ask him for his autograph. However, the autograph was required to be written on a body part, typically hidden by under garments. Although he was initially taken aback, Harrison obliged.

Blake and Kenny had to give a public impression of what they sound like, during an intimate moment. They had to use the telephone to voice their sounds onto the hotel speaker. The men who weren’t chosen to be on the group date were so confused, yet amused, by this random notion.

As soon as they had completed their dares, they switched places and began a new dare, until there were no more dares left.

Their last dare of the day was for each contestant to eat a full habanero pepper, and immediately drop to one knee, and fake-propose to Tayshia.

All of their speeches were so sweet and thoughtful, & some of them even shed a tear — a nice touch, thanks to the side effects of the habanero peppers.

Later that night, the men returned for a round of ‘truths’. Although all of the men began to open up, we saw a different side of Riley and Blake. They let their walls down and spoke their truth towards Tayshia, which she seemed to very much appreciate.

However, she felt a stronger connection with Zac, which is why he ended up receiving the group date rose.

Although the group date ended that night, Ben made his way over to Tayshia’s room at 2:30 a.m. He wanted to clear up the misunderstanding that he ‘didn’t care’ about Tayshia, and he wanted to prove that he was always going to show up for her.

Meanwhile, Ed had the same thought of heading towards Tayshia’s room. However, he stopped in front of the wrong room — Chris Harrison’s room. Harrison invited Ed in for a drink, and man, that was a painfully awkward scene to watch.

The following night was the cocktail party. Noah pulled Tayshia aside, and expressed his disdain about the tension between him and some of the men.

Tayshia took Noah’s confession, and brought it to the cocktail party. She consolidated the contestants into one room, and bluntly admitted that she would ‘gladly’ eliminate those who try to question her decisions.

Immediately upon leaving the cocktail party, a near-physical altercation occurred, between Ed and Noah.

At the rose ceremony, everyone received a rose, except for: Chasen, Joe, Kenny, and Jordan.

The 2020 AMAs Were Full of Surprises, and We’ve Got You Covered

Courtesy: Instagram

Last night were the 2020 American Music Awards, and although it was different this year due to ongoing circumstances, the venue was flooded with heart, soul, and so much talent.

Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes opened the AMA’s with their newest collaboration, “Monster”. Mendes had written a majority of the song when he was younger, but he contacted Bieber, hoping that he would be able to add his own truth to the song. Well, Bieber did NOT disappoint.

This was Mendes and Bieber’s first live performance together, but hopefully not their last. After “Monster”, Bieber stayed on stage to perform an emotional rendition of his other two hit singles: “Lonely” with Benny Blanco, and “Holy”.

“Empire” actress, Taraji P Henson, hosted the AMA’s. She started off the show with an entertaining dance to some of Meg Thee Stallion’s most viral hits.

Bad Bunny was supposed to perform “Dákiti” with Jhay Cortez last night, but unfortunately, he revealed this morning that he had contracted COVID-19, and that was why he was unable to attend last night’s AMA’s. We wish a healthy and speedy recovery for Bad Bunny!

Other AMA performers included: Meg Thee Stallion, The Weeknd, JLo, Katy Perry, Darius Rucker, The Weekend, Kenny G, Lewis Capaldi, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Lopez (JLo), Maluma, Bell Biv Devoe, Dua Lipa, Dan + Shay, iann dior, 24kGoldn, Shawn Mendes (Wonder), Lil Baby, Doja Cat, BeBe Rhexa, Machine Gun Kelly, Travis Barker, BTS, Nelly, and City Spud.

Swift revealed that the reason that she was unable to accept her AMA award in person, was because she is currently re-recording all of her old music. Can you imagine a “Fearless: 2021” album? Um, YES PLEASE.

Taraji also mentioned that Swift had won the award for favorite pop/rock female and favorite music video.

David Dobrik made a guest appearance as T-Mobile’s spokesperson. Dobrik mentioned Justin Bieber with a smile on face, and clearly, Dobrik is a fan (aren’t we all, though?). We’ll never forget the infamous collaboration between the two. Bieber and Dobrik collaborated earlier this year to promote the release of Bieber’s single, “Yummy”.

BTS closed out the AMA’s with a beautiful (and colorful) remote performance of “Life Goes On” and “Dynamite”. Their outfits were groovy, and their dance moves were so perfectly synced.

Charli D’Amelio Hit 100 Million TikTok Followers, And Here’s How She’s Celebrating

Courtesy: Instagram

It’s been quite the uphill battle for Charli D’Amelio this week. The internet tried to ‘cancel’ the 16-year-old influencer, after she made a comment about wishing she had hit 100 million followers, within one year of hitting 1 million.

People took that comment as D’Amelio being ‘ungrateful’ for the followers that she did have, and as a result, she lost about one million followers — bringing her down from 99 million followers, to 98 million.

Soon thereafter, she hopped onto Instagram live, where she apologized to the fans that she hurt, but stated that it was a “misunderstanding”. D’Amelio also had an emotional breakdown, after admitting that people had flooded her inbox with death threats and hate… over a YOUTUBE COMMENT.

Then, Trisha Paytas involved herself by trying to get a reaction out of people, and it worked. However, this article is about Charli’s new milestone, so if you’d like to catch up with how Trisha Paytas involved herself, please head over to Insider

Earlier today, Charli announced her latest TikTok milestone: Hitting 100 million followers on the short form app. Not only did she accomplish such a difficult goal, but D’Amelio is also one of the fastest growing social media influencers.

Several days ago, D’Amelio announced that she had something very special planned when she reached 100 million followers. Today, we finally found out what that was.

After thanking everyone who supported her thus far on her journey, D’Amelio announced that she’s partnering with TikTok to donate $100,000 to the American Dance Movement, on December 1st.

According to D’Amelio, the American Dance Movement is, “an organization that is committed to increasing and improving the access to dance education in the United States.”

D’Amelio continued the video, by stating that an additional $10,000 will be distributed to 10 dance schools in the U.S.

@charlidamelio

A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS HELPED ME REACH 100 MILLION SUPPORTERS!!! AND ANOTHER HUGE THANK YOU TO @tiktok I LOVE EVERY ONE OF YOU!!! 💕💕

For those of you who may not know much about her, Charli isn’t your average TikToker. While she excels at the ‘renegade’, she’s actually been dancing professionally, since she was 3 years old

Speaking of the renegade, her fans have been begging the social media star to recreate the ‘renegade’ dance to “Lottery” by K CAMP.

The original dance was created in 2019, by 15-year-old Jalaiah Harmon.

So, what better way to celebrate 100 million followers, than with a 2019 throwback?

Jalaiah recreated her ‘renegade’ dance, after Charli hit her new milestone. Not even an hour later, Charli duetted the video:

@charlidamelio

#duet with @jalaiahharmon 💕💕💕💕

♬ Lottery – K CAMP

As if that wasn’t already a wonderful treat for the fans, D’Amelio wanted to further show just how much she appreciates her followers. About an hour ago, D’Amelio posted a video, in which she revealed that she will be hosting several free meet and greet sessions.

Due to COVID-19, the meet and greet sessions will be hosted by D’Amelio, via Zoom. She stated that she’ll be posting all of the information on her Twitter, @charlidamelio

However, it looks like the Zoom sessions have already begun. Hopefully, she’ll be conducting more Zoom sessions in the near future!

A huge congratulations goes out to Charli. We hope that you’re able to celebrate with a close family/friends dinner! (Maybe just keep snails off of the menu for a while).

Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber Open Up In Their Latest Collaboration, “Monster”

Courtesy: Instagram

Last night, Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes took to social media, to announce the debut of their latest single, “Monster”. This is the first time that the two have collaborated on a song, and Mendes/Bieber fans went wild.

In 2015, when Mendes was first rising to stardom, Bieber was interviewed by the 95.5 radio station. During the interview, the host asked Bieber if he felt like he could relate to Mendes’ quick rise to stardom. Well, Bieber responded truthfully with the now-infamous meme of, “… who’s Shawn Mendes?”.

It was quite hilarious, and it didn’t take long for the interview to blow up on social media. At the time, Bieber would’ve never guessed that the two would be as close as they are now.

In fact, during a recent Instagram live, Bieber cleared up the interview response, swearing that “I really didn’t know.. like that was the first time I had ever heard your name”. They also revealed that they will be performing together at the 2020 AMA’s, at 8 PM EST.

In November of 2017, Mendes was reportedly seen showing PDA to Hailey Baldwin at Rita Ora’s EMA Awards afterparty. Although the two had never confirmed that they were officially an item, dating rumors first began when US Weekly caught the two holding hands at a Halloween Party. In May of 2018, Baldwin and Mendes attended the MET Gala together.

Then, in June of 2018, Bieber and Baldwin reconnected, and the rest is history. Social media began to stir up rumors that, due to the fact that Bieber and Mendes had a common ex, they ‘must have beef with one another’.

Thankfully, those rumors were shut down, when Mendes admitted that he was happy for the (at the time) newly engaged couple — Bieber and Baldwin. He stated that he had even sent Baldwin a congratulatory text message.

In 2019, Observer Magazine made Mendes the cover of their April edition, and crowned the artist with the title of, “prince of pop”.

Bieber hilariously replied to the post by commenting the following:

“Hmm Gonna have to break a few more records to dethrone my title there bud (canadian voice).. but if you want we can play hockey for it but i heard your a real bender on the ice  we could just drop the buckets and tilt for it”.

The Mendes army viewed Bieber’s comment as “shade”, and began to attack the Canadian singer. However, Mendes himself saw the comment as playful banter, and graciously accepted Bieber’s challenge.

“LOL any time any day you just let me know!!!!!!”, Mendes responded.

These two Canadian artists remind me of a best-friend movie duo. They complement one another really well, and we’d love to see them double date, post-pandemic! Imagine Shawn and Camila, with Justin and Hailey? Umm, we may have never seen two pretty best friends, but these would be FOUR pretty best friends that we would love to see together.

Along with their latest single, Mendes and Bieber also released the music video for “Monster”. The music video showcased climbing to the top of a platform and standing up on a pedestal for everyone else to see. In an interview with Elton John, for the VMAN 45 magazine, John asked Mendes to open up about his collaboration with Bieber, and Mendes admitted the following:

“Justin and I have never really had a relationship together, and I had this song called “Monster” that I wrote a long time ago. It’s about how society wants to put celebrities up on a pedestal, but as much as they want to do that, they want to celebrate the fall. It was a time when I was really afraid of my industry and afraid of my craft and afraid of everything. I didn’t have control. Everyone else had control over me. I think it just ended up becoming a metaphor for a bigger thing; that we all put pressure on each other as humans to be great, to be perfect. I called Justin and said, “I have this song and it means a lot to me. If it means something seriously to you and you want to put something very real on it, please be a part of this with me.” And he did. Since then, we have become closer than ever. Sometimes I think that music comes along for a bigger reason, which, for me in this case is to create a song to inspire people, but to also create a friendship that was never there before.”

The fan response has also been extremely positive and authentic. The song is eye opening to people who never realized how hard being in the public eye can be.

One fan stated that, “this is deep. I guess they’ve been wanting to tell the people out there how they felt growing up struggling, but instead, they tried to become what society wanted them to be”.

“Monster” is currently set at #9 on the iTunes charts, and now has over 11 million views on their music video.

Although this is Bieber and Mendes’ first collaboration together, hopefully it won’t be their last!

Dixie and Charli D’Amelio Respond To The Backlash Over Their “D’Amelio Family Dinner” Video

Courtesy: Various

On November 16th, the D’Amelio family premiered their ‘mystery dinner guest’ video on YouTube — the first of many, in their upcoming series.

Their mystery guest ended up being beauty influencer/icon, James Charles. Soon after Charles sat down, Chef Aaron May (the D’Amelio Family chef) began bringing out an array of delicious assortments, such as: a mushroom, plant-based paella, a shrimp and chicken paella, and toasted garlic bread with mushroom, oil, sea salt and fresh tomato.

Charles discussed moving his family out to California, getting along with the Kardashian family, and feeling grateful to have been chosen as the November cover of Vogue: Portugal

Later, Charles admitted that if he weren’t a social media influencer, he would have become a lawyer. That’s when Marc suggested that the two open a law firm together, and name it, “Charles-D’Amelio Law Firm”.

Everyone loved the name, but Dixie joked that the reason the name sounds good is because it sounds similar to “Charli D’Amelio”.

After joking around for a bit, Dixie picked a black object up from her paella and inspected it. She confirmed with Chef Aaron that it was, indeed, a snail, and Aaron admitted that eating snails are a sign of ‘good fortune’.

So, naturally, Dixie consumed the snail. However, within seconds, she had to leave the table to regurgitate the food. Heidi D’Amelio called the action ‘dramatic’, and Charles was disgusted at the sight of Dixie’s vomit (mostly because he was eating as well. So, seeing anyone vomit during a meal will naturally take away one’s appetite for food).

Meanwhile, Charli was enjoying her food and inquired whether or not Chef Aaron had whipped up some ‘dino nuggets’.

Marc, Heidi, Charli and James continued their conversation, while Dixie cleaned herself up. Within no time, Dixie was back at the dinner table, consuming her paella (snail-free, this time).

James fit in with the D’Amelio family so organically. He playfully roasted Charli and Dixie, had a legal conversation with Marc, and spoke to Heidi so sweetly, as if she were his second mother.

Unfortunately, things took a turn when Charli admitted that (during the time of filming) it hasn’t even been a full year since she’s reached one million followers. For those of you who aren’t on TikTok, Charli D’Amelio is the fastest growing TikToker on the app — with 98 million followers in less than a year.

She then stated that, “I wish I had, like, more time… ‘cause imagine if I hit 100 mil, a year after I hit a mil”.

James Charles clapped back almost immediately.

“Were the 95 not enough for you?”, to which Charli clarified herself.

“Well, I was just.. saying… even numbers”.

It didn’t take long before both of the D’Amelio sisters began to receive public backlash.

People were sending hate comments and death threats (we won’t be including specific comments, due to the safety and mental well being of the D’Amelio sisters) to Charli and Dixie.

Charli was at 99.5 million followers on TikTok, but following the backlash, people began to unfollow the social media star, — leaving her at 98.2 million followers (she now has 98.4 million).

As for Dixie, TikTok/Instagram users flooded her comment section with accusations that she ‘disrespected’ Chef Aaron, by regurgitating the snail and acting ‘childish’.

In response to the backlash, Dixie posted the following video to TikTok, yesterday:

@dixiedamelio

-video…anyways, not posting this for any other reason than to share the truth of something that was ridiculously blown out of proportion…

♬ original sound – Dixie D’Amelio

She had also apologized to Chef Aaron in the comment section of a TikTokRoom post — though she stated that the chef (as well as her team) convinced her to eat the snail, knowing that Dixie would have the reaction that she had in the YouTube video. She ended the video by asking people not to judge an “out of context, 15-second video”.

As for Charli, she went on an Instagram live to apologize. She was shaking, crying, and having an emotional breakdown, as she asked the public not to send death threats to her, for a ‘misunderstanding’ from the video.

She also stated that she wasn’t sure if she wanted to continue posting on social media anymore, if this is how people are going to treat her.

(TW: Death threats and suicide)

Truthfully, nobody deserves death threats. The D’Amelio sisters didn’t directly attack or hurt anyone, and they don’t deserve an influx of hate.

James Charles tweeted out the following, after the D’Amelio sisters began receiving an outpour of negative backlash:

Chef Aaron also spoke to The Hollywood Fix about the situation, and admitted that the snail bit was set up to get a dramatic reaction out of Dixie, and that he has no ill will towards the D’Amelio sisters, whatsoever.

The Bachelorette Continues, As The Contestants Get Progressively Honest

Courtesy: ABC

Tayshia admitted that Brendan has set the bar very high for the other men during the last one on one date (See previous article for a recap of last week’s episode).

However, last night started a new week with the men, and Tayshia was looking forward to her upcoming group date.

The group date consisted of: Montel, Ivan, Demar, Ben, Chasen, Ed, Joe, and Bennett and their goal during this date was to prove that they were ‘grown a** men’. There were several rounds throughout this challenge: an intellectual round, a physical strength round, and a ‘breakfast in bed’ round.

Most of them did well. However, although Bennett had attended Harvard University, he lacked in the Mathematics and English department. As for the physical strength round, all participated except for Bennett. The reason he was unable to participate was due to a former athletic injury.

Ben Smith excelled during the physical round. The ‘breakfast in bed’ round was quite interesting. There were mimosas, eggs & bacon, and would it really be an ABC reality-dating show, without a shirtless man?

The ‘man child’ award was presented to Ed, who took the fake baby like a champ. He accepted it with pride, which Tayshia appreciated.

After the other contestants were able to breathe, it was time for the ‘grown man’ award. There were some men that were confident in themselves, but things took a sharp turn when Bennett was presented with the award.

According to Tayshia, Bennett bounced back with that romantic gesture. Unfortunately, not everyone was too supportive of Bennett’s win. Chasen admitted that he was annoyed at how ‘classless’ Bennett was acting. Yikes. (Just wait. It gets even more heated.)

Later on, not only did Chasen and Bennett discuss their indifferences, but Ed chimed in as well. He admitted that Chasen had fraud-like qualities, and that everything that he said to Tayshia was ‘recycled’ content that he previously uttered to Clare.

Ed felt so strongly about Chasen’s motive, that he brought up the topic to Tayshia. He also warned Tayshia that Chasen may have utilized his appearance on “The Bachelorette” for internet fame.

Tayshia brought this up to Chasen, and Chasen didn’t accept this well. He confronted Ed immediately after his conversation with Tayshia, and it almost seemed like a fight was ready to break out. However, in that moment, Tayshia walked in and the men sat back down.

The group date rose was given to Ivan, and although he was happy, Ben was disappointed that he didn’t receive the rose (even after he poured his heart out to Tayshia).

During the cocktail party, Tayshia pulled Chasen aside to discuss the [almost] physical altercation between him and Ed. Following that conversation, Chasen pulled Ed aside to try and clear the air, but Ed continued to circle the conversation. Zac C. had to interrupt their conversation to break it up.

At the rose ceremony, everyone got a rose… except for Montel, Jay and Peter.

The following day was a new day, and a new group date. The date took place in a boxing arena, and consisted of: Eazy, Brendan, Joe, Jordan, Spencer, Ben, Ed, and Chasen.

Wells Adams co-hosted the wrestling match with Chris Harrison.

Courtesy: ABC

Adams appeared on Season 12 of “The Bachelorette” and was also a contestant on Season 3 of “Bachelor In Paradise”, before being eliminated in Week 6. Adams later found love with actress, Sarah Hyland, and the two are now engaged

There were five total rounds:

  1. Eazy vs. Joe (Eazy won)
  2. Brendan vs. Jordan (Jordan won)
  3. Spencer vs. Ben (Draw)
  4. Ed vs. Chasen (Ed forfeited)
  5. Noah vs. Chasen (Chasen won)

After Ed forfeited, Noah hopped the fence to replace Ed. After a close and (almost dangerous) fight, Chasen won the event and got to spend some quality time with Tayshia.

Although Noah lost, he did get invited to the after party with Tayshia and the rest of the men on the group date. The other men weren’t too happy with that decision, but they talked amongst themselves about it, rather than bringing it up to Tayshia.

During the after party, although some of the men kissed Tayshia, she made the first move when it came to Brandon. It was very apparent that she’s very smitten, when spending one-on-one time with him.

Noah got the group date rose, after he *gasp* shaved his iconic mustache for true love.

Naturally, all of the men on the group date were annoyed, and Ed announced that he was going to confront Noah in front of the whole house.

Stay tuned next week, because things are about to get even messier. Whew.

Candace Owens Responds To Harry Styles Backlash In A Lengthy Instagram Video

Courtesy: Instagram

On November 13th, Harry Styles took to Instagram, to announce that he will be on December’s cover of Vogue. The photo is of Harry blowing a balloon, and looking absolutely amazing in a white and black dress.

Styles has worn dresses and pantsuits in the past, and he’s known for defying the gender normative.

At the 2019 Met Gala, Styles blew fans away, when he showed up in a beautiful sheer blouse, black nail polish, and a white pearl earring.

Courtesy: Getty Images

Well, soon after Vogue announced that Styles would be their December cover photo, fans went crazy.

Unfortunately, not everyone had such a positive reaction. In fact, author and conservative commentator, Candace Owens, tweeted out the following, in response to Styles’ Vogue cover:

After receiving hundreds of hate comments, Owens decided to clarify her opinion, via Instagram. In an 8-minute video posted on her profile, Owens discusses her “bring back manly men” tweet.

She began by stating that her tweet wasn’t meant to be directed at Harry Styles, but more so towards Vogue, and “the culture in general, that are trying to shove this down our throats”.

Owens then goes on to state her opinion about men in dresses, and how she doesn’t agree with the concept. According to Owens, outside of Hollywood, any man seen in a dress is assumed to have “mental issues”.

She then went on to say that she wouldn’t want her children around men in dresses, but that she has ‘nothing against Harry Styles’, and that she likes his music and thinks that he ‘seems like a nice enough kid’.

The video didn’t end at Harry Styles, though. Owens went on to take shots at Cardi B, for promoting the “WAP” to ‘young, teenage girls’ on TikTok, and she also called out Miley Cyrus for “promoting abortion”.

(In June of 2019, Cyrus posted an Instagram photo of her licking a cake. The writing on the cake read, “Abortion is healthcare”).

Owens ended her Instagram video by comparing Hollywood to Satanic rituals, because “nothing good has come out of Hollywood”, and that [to paraphrase her quote] Hollywood destroys the lives and mental well being of celebrities everywhere. She leaves the public with one last thought to ponder: “Examine the personal lives of celebrities. Tell me if that’s a life that you aspire to have. I actually have a question. Do you think that person is happy?”.

Actress/activist, Olivia Wilde, got called out towards the end of Owens’ video — when all Wilde did was respond to Owens’ initial tweet:

When speaking ill of any celebrity — especially a progressive celebrity (whose goal is to initiate a positive safe space), you should know that an entire fandom will be there to stand up for them.

The Harry Styles/One Direction fandom responded to Owens’ “clarification” video with some opinions of their own:

Celebrities also stuck up for the ideology of men breaking the stereotypical normative:

Although Styles has yet to comment on Owens’ tweet/video, it’s apparent that no one will alter his mindset. He’s going to keep living his life to the fullest, whilst doing the things that make him the happiest (as he should).

The 2020 People’s Choice Awards: List of Winners, Presenters, and Performers

Last night was the 2020 E! People’s Choice Awards, and it was quite an experience. Hosted by Demi Lovato, the show was full of excitement, laughs and surprises.

Although there may not have been a physical audience in attendance, that didn’t stop the awards show from inviting fans, virtually. Throughout the duration of the awards show, the camera cut to the sidelines — where we saw a virtual panel of fans, laughing, cheering, and dancing.

Justin Bieber hit the stage to perform his latest singles, “Lonely” and “Holy”. Even through a television screen, we can see how special these lyrics are to Bieber, and we’re glad to see him getting back into what he loves most — performing for all to see. An absolute breathtaking and emotional performance.

Meanwhile Chloe x Halle lit up the stage (literally) to perform “Ungodly Hour”. First off, their outfits were such an incredible choice. They brought the star power, control, and vibrato to their angelic performance.

The 2020 E! People’s Choice Award presenters included: Bebe Rhexa, Tiffany Haddish, Jameela Jamil, Armie Hammer, Tyler, the Creator, Machine Gun Kelly, Alison Brie, Sofia Carson, Christina Hendricks, Kathryn Hahn, and Addison Rae.

As for the winners, well, I hope you’re ready for some popcorn, because there were quite a handful of talented winners last night — including BTS and Ariana Grande (as they should).

First off, Demi Lovato opened the show with quite a hilarious monologue. She discussed reaching the end of Instagram four times, binge watching “Pretty Little Liars”, and of course, her engagement-turned-unengagement, with former flame, Max Ehrich.

She then gave a shoutout to some fans from around the world — one of them including a certain New York talk show host, by the name of Jimmy Fallon. The two had a hilarious little discussion, before Lovato ended her speech, by thanking the frontline heroes.

All About Billie Eilish: “Therefore I Am” Fan Theories, And Her Surprise TikTok Debut

Courtesy: Instagram

So, by now, I’m sure we’re all familiar with Billie Eilish. If you’re not, then what’re you waiting for?

This pop sensation has had 14 Billboard chart topping hits, including her seven time platinum single, “Bad Guy”.

Recently, Eilish took to social media, to promote her latest release: “Therefore I Am”. Three days ago, an interview with Genius was released, in which Eilish explains the meaning of her song.

In general, Eilish’s music has this deep undertone full of emotions. Fans may listen to “Ocean Eyes” and start crying, while others listen to “I Love You” and start overanalyzing their own relationships.

Well, this time, Eilish wanted to leave one of her songs open for interpretation. According to Eilish, this was the most authentic song that she’s ever released, because it allows fans to get an insight into who she is. Although we love the mysterious side of Eilish, she’s still only 18. Minus having riches and fame, she’s just like any other 18-year-old. She likes to joke around, have fun, and just live life to the fullest.

“I feel that I sound very, like, I’m just fucking around. I’m just joking and shit. You know that, ‘Stop, what the hell are you talking about?’ It’s like, come on. It’s so real and natural and don’t take me seriously, you know? I love it.”

Eilish has always been open with her fans, but this is a new side that we’re seeing of her, and the fans are here for it.

The music video was also incredibly unique and powerful. The entirety of the video took place in a mall, and Eilish was going around to different food stands, grabbing whatever she can find (donuts, Chipotle chips, lemonade, fries, etc). While the concept was most likely meant to be fun and playful, it’s great that Eilish left the song open for interpretation, because fans have theories.

One fan noted the date that the music video was released on. “Therefore I Am” premiered on November 12th. Meanwhile, on November 13th, fans of Eilish celebrated the one year anniversary of her album, “everything I wanted”.

The fan’s theory was that this song was purposely meant to drop before the one year anniversary. This way, the title of her new single could tie into the title of her previous album, making it “Therefore I am everything I wanted”.

Eilish is known for her baggy clothes. During an interview with Dazed earlier this year, Eilish admitted that the reason why she started wearing baggy clothes, “was ’cos I hated my body”.

However, last month, a paparazzi photographed Eilish walking around in a tank top and shorts, and unfortunately, there was a lot of negative commentary, regarding the singer’s physical appearance.

Instead of putting herself down and succumbing to the internet trolls, Eilish reposted an uplifting TikTok onto her Instagram story, in which a girl discusses ‘normalizing real bodies’.

@chiziduru

Instagram has warped a lot of y’all into thinking normal bodies are abnormal #bodypositivity #realbody #selflove #FallAesthetic #instagram

The fan also theorized that the concept of food in the mall could represent a clapback towards all of the body-shamers (quite an interesting theory).

Actually, speaking of TikTok, Eilish has created quite the platform onto the short form app. Eilish showed up onto many people’s “for you pages”, after posting her first TikTok on Thursday. She used the ‘time warp scan’ effect, and inflated her nose. By the eruption of laughter, it’s safe to say that she enjoys TikTok.

The TikTok already has 79 million views, and the comment section is quite hilarious. Half of the comments are from verified creators — who gushed over the fact that Eilish is now on the app. The other half of the comment section are by fans who noticed Eilish’s username. We regret to inform you that it’s not “wherearetheavocados”, but rather, “coochiedestroyer5”.

Then, just last night, Eilish uploaded a second TikTok. This video showed off her unique talent of being able to fit an entire ukulele head inside of her mouth.

Absolutely hilarious! Maybe 2020 is turning out to be a better year than we thought.

An Interview With The Next ‘Artist To Watch’: Jessie Chambers

Courtesy: @jessiechambers on Instagram

The greatest thing about independent artists is that they all possess unique songwriting traits. Some write about love, and some write about loss, but what really differentiates musicians from one another, is the ability to tailor their songwriting to personal life experiences.

Recently, I was fortunate enough to catch up with the newest ‘artist on the rise’ — Jessie Chambers.

Chambers has written songs about love, life, and struggles. She pours her heart and soul into each of her released (and unreleased) singles, and she’s only just getting started.

  1. For those who are just discovering your music, describe a bit about who you are and what genre you aim to create.

“Hi! My name is Jessie Chambers and I am a Pop artist/singer/songwriter. Music has been a part of my life since the day I was born – literally. My mom had music playing in the delivery room – and I think that’s something that comes through in my music and how I go about creating it. While I grew up listening to all kinds of genres (and still do), I fell in love with Pop music as any true early 2000s kid would, and never looked back… But the beauty of Pop music is that it never is only one thing or one sound. Pop music is a genre, influenced by others and it’s always changing.”

2. What inspires you to write songs, and how do you bypass writer’s block when it occurs?

“I am definitely inspired by personal experiences. Whether that be relationships, both romantic and not, struggles with anxiety or self-doubt, nights out with friends or driving around with the windows down, etc. – moments like these [and more] inspire me to write. I’m also very inspired by music itself. Like sometimes, it’s not just an experience I want to write about, but instead I’ll be listening to a new song, or an old song, and just be completely determined to create something that makes me feel the way that song did. That’s also usually how I get over writer’s block, if it hits. Instead of trying to force something out, I just take the break, listen to a bunch of music, and let the inspo form on its own.”

3. “Fighting In Your Car” is your most recent release. What went into the creative process of that song?

Courtesy: Instagram

” “Fighting in Your Car” is the perfect example of a song I wrote, based on a real life experience. My boyfriend and I were driving home from a party, and we ended up arguing about something stupid. Everything ended up being fine, but in that moment, it just felt like the worst possible way to end the night — especially when we were looking forward to the drive together. Riding alone with someone at night can be so intimate and sexy, yet there we were, fighting instead. Mid-fight, I just wrote down ‘fighting in your car’ in my notes and brought it into a writing session about a week later.”

4. Which artists do you see yourself collaborating with in the future, and why?

“There are so many artists I would love to collaborate with. I mean, it’s no secret I’m a huge Beyoncé fan, so that’s definitely a dream collaboration. I probably have too many to list, but let’s go with Sam Smith for right now. I’m really vibing with their new album, and I think we could make something together that’s emotional and warm, but somehow still makes you wanna dance.”

5. Are you working on any up and coming projects that you can tell us about?

“I actually am working on an upcoming project.. All that I’ll say right now is that I’ve got a bunch of new music coming out in 2021, and to be on the lookout right at the top of the year!”

6. What was your favorite single that you’ve released thus far, and what is the background behind that song?

Out of the songs I currently have out, I would have to say “Guess U Suck” is my favorite at the moment. This song basically wrote itself. I showed my co-writer a melody idea I had, which became the chorus, and from there it took about 30 minutes to finish the whole song top to bottom. We had so much fun writing it, because the concept is so sassy and the story is so easy to tell. I think we all can relate to having a moment where you’re like “wait, f this. It’s not me, it’s you. You just suck.”

7. Where can fans follow you to keep up with your latest music?

“For my music directly you can find me on all streaming platforms – i.e. Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc. And for social media, you can follow me on Instagram @jessiechambers or TikTok @chambersjessiechambers. I’m really trying to connect with my listeners, so make sure to reach out! I love meeting you guys <3″.
