You’ve heard about artists putting on virtual concerts, old cast members reuniting via Zoom, and even a Disney Family Singalong program. There are so many ways that influencers, actors, and entertainers are coming together to raise money for COVID-19 relief.

Well, recently, YouTuber/Beauty Guru, James Charles, added to the list. Charles has been posting episodes from his reality show on his YouTube channel, titled: Instant Influencer

Instant Influencer is a reality competition show, and follows the journey of six aspiring beauty gurus. The goal of the show is to find the one beauty guru that has what it takes to make it in the beauty industry. The judges include: Paris Hilton, Norvina, and of course, James Charles.

Two days ago, Charles released a new video on his channel. Although it wasn’t another Instant Influencer episode, the premise of the video was based off of one of the beauty challenges in episode 3.

“For today’s video, I wrangled together all of my favorite people from the beauty community, for a virtual collab. Pretty much, the biggest [Get Ready With Me] in YouTube history!”.

Influencers who joined the virtual “G.R.W.M” include: Nikkie Tutorials, Patrick Starrr, Manny MUA, Mykie, Bretman Rock, Louie Casttro, and Nikita Dragun.

After introducing the talented artists, Charles passed the foundation to Guru #1: Nikki Tutorials.

Tutorials mentioned that although the beauty community faces a lot of negative backlash, she was extremely glad that some of the top influencers were able to come together as one, to create this video. Tutorials also opened up about what it was like to come out as transgender, and the outpour of love and support that she received, as a result.

Each influencer took turns, applying and explaining different makeup products.

Patrick Starr admitted that he was spending a lot of time on TikTok, to distract himself from everything negative going on in the world right now.

Nikita Dragun was up next for a contour tutorial, and she had some words of wisdom for the viewers. “We’re always onto the next thing, and I feel like especially now, we start to realize how valuable health is. You know, I think we’re all going through it, and reminiscing and replaying little moments over and over again, and I just wanna say, stop it! Stop! You’re a bad b*tch. You’re gonna be good, okay?”

Mykie was up next, to show interested viewers how to properly fill in their eyebrows. She talkedabout keeping herself busy during quarantine. She’s been spending a lot of time with her boyfriend (and Smosh star), Anthony Padilla, as well as her dog [Ripley], and her newest puppy [Creature].

James Charles followed up with an eyeshadow tutorial, from his James Charles X Morphie collaboration pallet. Charles gave an overview of how he’s been staying positive, and urged viewers to keep themselves busy by watching a new show and playing a fun puzzle. He even suggested some of his favorite Minecraft channels for all of the gamers out there.

Bretman Rock showed viewers how to properly attach fake eyelashes. It wouldn’t be Bretman Rock without some sass, sarcasm, and tons of fun humor. He kept the tutorial short and fun, and he admitted to changing up his look and trying out new beauty techniques, during quarantine.

Rock passed the Lunar Beauty highlighter to Manny MUA, and wow. First of all, Manny was rocking a yellow/silver blended eyeshadow. He mentioned that quarantine has brought him closer to his family, and also urged fans to follow social distancing guidelines.

Finally, Louie Casttro made an appearance to show fans how to properly apply lipliner. Casttro spoke about his love for his family, and how it’s nice to be able to spend a lot of time with them. “I’m very family oriented. So, I’m definitely taking advantage of this time, since I’m always working, on the road, taking flights…”.

James Charles ended the video by asking fans to donate to the United Nations Foundation, if possible. The United Nations Foundation is working with the WHO (World Health Organization) to raise money for those affected by COVID-19. The money will go towards hospital bills, food, and necessary medical supplies for those in need.

Charles announced that for every $1 that is donated, Google will match an extra $2 to that amount. Since Charles has already pledged to donate $25,000, it will automatically turn into $75,000, after Google matches the amount.
