Raven-Symoné Announces Her “Lowkey” Marriage to Miranda Pearman-Maday

In August of 2013, Disney’s “That’s So Raven” star, Raven-Symoné, publicly addressed her sexuality. After the legalization of same sex marriage, Symoné tweeted that she was so glad that she was finally able to get married, and congratulated the government for their positive advancement towards equality.

However, during a 2014 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Symoné set the record straight in terms of labels.

“I don’t want to be labeled gay. I want to be labeled ‘a human who loves humans’. I’m tired of being labeled.”

Well, this year, Symoné is celebrating LGBTQ+ pride month by following through with her 2013 tweet. Yesterday, Symoné took to Instagram to post a photo of her and her newly-wed-wife, Miranda Pearman-Maday. The two got married last week, and according to Symoné, kept the ceremony small due to the ongoing pandemic.

In her caption, Symoné gushes about how Maday understands her “from trigger to joy, from breakfast to midnight snack, from stage to home.”

The comment section was full of positivity and celebratory wishes, from friends and fans everywhere.

There were even special messages from Symoné’s “Cheetah Girls” co-stars: Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, and Sabrina Bryan.

Symoné made a joke under Bailon’s comment, that although it took a while, she was finally “in the club now” (the other 3 Cheetah Girls are already married).

I guess they really are Cheetah Sisters for life! Congratulations on your beautiful marriage, Raven.
