Kanye West is making headlines, after going on a Twitter rant about his wife, Kim Kardashian-West, and his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner.
On July 20th, in a series of now deleted tweets, West stated that Kardashian-West tried to “lock him up” with a doctor in Wyoming. He also stated that the 2017 thriller film, “Get Out”, was about him.
“Get Out” is about an interracial relationship, and eminates aspects of racism, within the subtext. According to a 2017 article by Vox, “Get Out isn’t about the blatantly, obviously scary kind of racism — burning crosses and lynchings and snarling hate. Instead, it’s interested in showing how racist behavior that tries to be aggressively unscary is just as horrifying, and in making us feel that horror, in a visceral, bodily way.”
West then went on to explain that Kris Jenner is no longer allowed to be around his children, due to the fact that she allegedly tried to lock him up. In the following tweet, West exposed his location, and told Jenner and Kardashian-West to “come get me”.
He then began to shade Jenner, by stating that, “I put my life on my God”, that Kardashian-West would never treat North West the same way that Jenner treated Kim.
Jenner had reportedly sold Kardashian-West’s sex tape with R&B singer, Ray J, and Jenner was also accused of photographing Kim nude, for a 2007 Playboy magazine.
After West was finished venting about his wife and mother-in-law, the rapper went on to put actor, Shia LaBeouf, on blast. West claimed that LaBeouf never showed up to set for a YZY GAP photoshoot that the two were supposed to attend on Monday night.
Lastly, West mentioned British-American journalist, Anna Wintour, in his Twitter rant. He accused Wintour of not supporting his GAP photoshoot, and then allegedly calling him back afterwards to kiss his a**.
This Twitter meltdown occurred a day after his first campaign rally in South Carolina. West got emotional, when discussing the topic of abortion. He admitted that his father had contemplated aborting him, and that he and Kardashian-West had almost aborted their now 7-year-old child, North West.
A source tells The Sun that the campaign breakdown was in relation to West’s Bipolar disorder, and according to the source, “Kim is at her breaking point and doesn’t know how much longer she can take”. Kardashian-West is allegedly posing an ultimatum: either West drops out of the presidential election immediately, or she may end up divorcing the rapper.
During a 2018 interview with Jimmy Kimmel, West opened up about his Bipolar disorder, and how it feels when he enters a manic episode. He described it as being “ramped up”, and reveals that while some people feel very low during an episode, his brain activity runs faster than the average person.
Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, has since revealed that he has spoken to West, and confirms that “he seems fine”.
Comedy Central comedian, Dave Chappelle, had gone to visit West in Wyoming, to ensure that he was safe and well.
Halsey has also spoken out about yesterday’s events, and tells the public not to joke about West’s manic episode.
“If you can’t offer understanding or sympathy, offer your silence.”, the singer tweeted.
